Global Network - Local Identity

BDO founded in 1963 on the initiative of five firms auditing and consulting from Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States of America and Canada, then adopted the name of Binder Seidman International Group (BSIG) and started to work on networking . In 1973, the network changed its name to BDO - Binder Dijker Otte & Co. and, in 1988 to BDO International. In 2010, with the legal restructuring, the network has just adopted the BDO brand.

BDO in Portugal was founded in 1981 with the corporate purpose of providing auditing and consulting services. BDO Portugal has expanded its range of services and clients and currently has 6 offices and about 200 employees.

Chronology

1963 - Foundation of the Binder Seidman International Group (BSIG)

1973 - Group name change to Binder Dijker Otte & Co

1981 - Incorporation of BDO in Portugal

1988 - Adoption of new rules and corporate look and the acronym BDO

1990 - BDO Portugal takes part of the Policy Board of BDO International

1991 - Porto office opening

1998 - Cape Verde office opening in Praia

1999 - Opening of the Mozambique office in Maputo

2001 - Funchal office opening

2002 - Ernesto Ferreira da Silva is elected President of the General Assembly of the BDO International

2004 - Faro office opening

2005 - Office opening Angola in Luanda

2010 - BDO introduces the new Corporate Visual Identity, adopting the BDO brand globally

2019 - Braga office opening
